Iran develops non-hypnotic cold tablets

TEHRAN, Jan. 19 (MNA) – Those who had cold, have always complained about the cold and flu tablets side-effects such as drowsiness, numbness, decreased consciousness.

This has brought about popularity of tablets made overseas such as day-and-night tablets.

Abidi Pharmaceutical Company has launched attempts to tackle this problem. This company has supplied day-and-night Corizan® tablets to control cold symptoms, and save the individuals’ consciousness and prevent drowsiness.

Inducing drowsiness has been a main side-effect of anti-histamines prescribed for cold. In the Corizan® formulation, anti-histamine components for the night are being eliminated, thus tackling the problem of day drowsiness and other side-effects.

Abidi Pharmaceuticals had produced Corizan® in 1962. Then one of the most popular tablets, Corizan® was dropped out of production line for unknown reasons. Now, the company plans to revive and send it to the market.
